United Way envisions a multi-phase transition to Agenda for Change work, during which the community will be engaged. Once implemented, the Agenda will guide our work through 2018.  At the moment we are in the "Working Together" Phase.

2005-2006: Coming Together

What we've done:

  1. Conducted over 85 interviews
  2. Completed over 20 focus groups
  3. Community Action Survey engaged over 6,000 region wide
  4. Studied regional secondary data

  4. Invite participation
  5. Determine indicators for success

  3. Local planning-groups
  4. Review of data

  1. Begin implementation of impact strategies & objectives

  3. Establish measurement and   monitoring systems

2008-2009: Impacting Together

What we'll do:

  1. Conclude RFP review/analysis
  2. Final decisions made, board approval, organizations are notified
  3. Current agencies not moving ahead directed to transitional funding process
  4. Memorandum of understanding agreements signed
  5. Impact strategies implemented

How we'll do it:

  1. Application review
  2. Volunteer review teams
  3. Agency meetings
