BoardWALK
Affordable, effective education for board members and chief staff executives of nonprofit organizations

BoardWALK is a series of seven workshops focusing on building the capacity of current and prospective nonprofit board members and executive staff. All courses are conducted by professionals and are small enough to provide individual attention and answers to questions and concerns.

Executive Director as Leader
Friday, May 2, 2008 - 9:00 am - Noon
Understand how to effectively develop, manage and define the roles and responsibilities of the executive director in relation to the board.

Financial Responsibilities of the Board

Get introduced to the budgeting and accounting principles pertaining to not-for-profit finances.

Workshops are held at Lawrence Technological University, located on W. 10 Mile Road west of Northwestern Hwy in Southfield, MI. Sessions are in Room 336 of the Buell Building. During inclement weather, BoardWALK workshops will be cancelled when Southfield schools are cancelled.
