ONE D RECEIVES FUNDING FROM FIVE SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN FOUNDATIONS

One D, a group of six regional civic organizations working collaboratively to transform regional Detroit, announced today that funding has been received from all five of the leading Southeast Michigan foundations to support their efforts in aligning private, public and non-profit sectors toward five common priorities.

One D was awarded a grant to host the first regional summit on high school drop outs in the United States. The summit will take place at the end of April 2008 in collaboration with the Skillman Foundation, America’s Promise and One D founders United Way of Southeastern Michigan, New Detroit and Detroit Regional Chamber.
